Purple Heart City Proclamation

The City of Wauchula has adopted the commemorative title to publicly proclaim our support for local veterans.
Official Proclamation signed by Mayor Nadaskay and City Clerk, City of Wauchula Embossed Seal

The Purple Heart is known to be one of the oldest and most prestigious U.S. military awards, given to members of the armed forces who have been wounded or killed in the line of duty. The purpose and meaning of a city being called a Purple Heart City is to honor military personnel wounded or killed in combat with hostile forces. The heritage it represents is sacred to those who understand the price paid to wear it. Thank you to each of our City of Wauchula Commissioners and Mayor for accepting this proclamation.
