Election Information
In order to qualify to run for City Commissioner, candidates must be a qualified elector of the City at the time of qualifying and must also file with the City Clerk proof of residence in the City and proof of voter registration for the City.
Municipal elections are non-partisan. The City of Wauchula has 3 district seats and 2 at-large seats. Anyone running for district seats must reside within the district boundaries. The terms of office for all seats are 4 years and there are no term limits.
If you are interested in running for the City Commission, you can find the candidate packet documents below or you may pick up a packet from the City Clerk's office. Packets must be submitted in person during the qualifying period. Qualifying dates for the 2024 election are from Noon, June 3 to Noon, June 7, 2024.
