Notice of Public Hearing - Wauchula Wastewater Facilities Plan

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing will be held and thereafter Resolution 2022-08 will be presented to the City Commission for adoption at City Hall, 225 East Main Street, Wauchula, Florida 33873, on April 11, 2022, at 6:00 P.M., or as soon thereafter as it reasonably can be held.

The Public Hearing will be held to discuss the City of Wauchula Wastewater System Improvements Facilities Plan which describes proposed improvements to the City’s wastewater system. Project alternatives, costs, and financial impacts on system users will be discussed during the Public Hearing. The estimated construction costs are $7 million which the City intends to fund with a loan from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection State Revolving Fund program.

RESOLUTION 2022-08

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION  OF THE City of wAUCHULA, FLORIDA, RELATING TO THE Florida Department of Environmental Protection STATE REVOLVING FUND LOAN PROGRAM; ADOPTING THE City of wAUCHULA Wastewater System IMPROVEMENTS FACILITIES PLAN DATED March 2022; ADOPTING THE City of Wauchula STATE REVOLVING FUND Capital Financing PLAN; AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF THE PLANS TO THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION; DESIGNATING THE City of Wauchula AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE; AND PROVIDING for Conflicts, severability, ANd an EFFECTIVE DATE.

During consideration of the Resolution, the Wauchula City Commission may approve, disapprove or take other such action deemed appropriate in the public interest. A draft of the Plans and Resolution can be obtained from the office of the City Clerk, 126 South 7th Avenue, Wauchula, Florida 33873, Monday thru Friday, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. The public is encouraged to attend and participate in the Public Hearing.

Pursuant to Section 286.0107, Florida Statutes, as amended, the City Commission hereby advises that if any interested person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at the proceedings, he will need a record of the proceeding and that, for such purposes, he may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
