Invitation to Bid Wauchula Municipal - Rehab, Mark, Sign & Light Taxiway

Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Wauchula at 126 South 7th Avenue, Wauchula, Florida, 33873 until 2:00pm local time on Thursday, May 6, 2021.The Owner reserves the right to hold all bids for a maximum period of 180 calendar days prior to awarding the contract or rejecting all bids. Bids received after said time will be returned unopened.  The Bidder shall be solely responsible for delivery of their Bid. Reliance upon mail or public carriers is at the Bidder’s risk.

The principal features of the Work are:

1. Rehabilitation of Taxiway A (approximately 4500’ x 35’), an asphalt taxiway, including connector taxiways.
2. Runway Incursion Mitigation System (RIMS), removal of existing direct connector taxiways from aprons to the runway.
3. Medium Intensity Taxiway Light (MITL) system, including guidance and mandatory hold signs.
4. New electrical vault.
5. Temporary and permanent marking.
6. Storm drainage, grading, and turfing

All proposals shall be submitted on the forms furnished by the Owner.  Each proposal submitted shall be placed with all required attachments in a sealed envelope, and this envelope shall in turn be placed in a 9 x 12 inch envelope.  Both envelopes must be sealed and marked as follows:

All Bids shall be publicly opened, read aloud and recorded at 2:00 PM local time on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the City of Wauchula Administration Building, 126 South 7th Avenue, Wauchula, FL 33873.

PRE-BID MEETING: No pre-bid conference will be held due to the current COVID-19 conditions.
