722 S. 7th Avenue

The properties at 705 S. 8th Avenue, 711 S. 8th Avenue, and 722 S. 7th Avenue, Wauchula, Florida 33873, were deeded by the City of Wauchula to the Wauchula Community Redevelopment Agency in 2022 for the purpose of being a part of their In-Fill Housing Program. 

According to the CRA Master Redevelopment Plan Update 2019, under the goal of Land Use, the plan includes “provide incentives to provide for both single‐family and multi‐family housing, as well as affordable and workforce housing, as needed“.  With this in mind, the Wauchula Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) recognizes the importance of returning vacant residential properties back to active use.  Therefore, the CRA is seeking qualified bids from developers to partner with the CRA in redeveloping the three vacant properties.  It is the desire of the CRA to select 1 developer for all 3 houses.

Questions related to this project are to be submitted in writing to jnewman@cityofwauchula.com.  Responses will be posted to the www.cityofwauchula.com as well as sent to those who have requested a complete bid packet.  Question are due by 5:00 PM on Friday, April 14, 2023. 

RFP submittals are due by 2:00 PM on Friday, April 28, 2023.
