ITB 24-02 Melendy Street Roadway and Drainage Improvement

INVITATION for BID

Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Wauchula located at 126 South 7th Avenue, Wauchula, Florida 33873, until 2:00 PM local time on April 16, 2024. Bids received after said time will be returned unopened. The Bidder shall be solely responsible for delivery of their Bid. Reliance upon mail or public carriers is at the Bidder’s risk.

The principal features of the Work are:

1.    ¼ mile of roadway reconstruction along Melendy Street

2.    Drainage improvements to mitigate existing ponding issues as well as replacement of impacted inlets and manholes

3.    striping and signage

The Contract(s) awarded under this Solicitation will be funded by the Florida Department of Transportation using American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds and are subject to requirements listed in the FDOT and ARPA agreements attached.

Plans and specifications are on file for inspection at the City of Wauchula Administration Building located at 126 South 7th Avenue, Wauchula, Florida 33873.

Sealed Bids shall reference the following on the outer envelope:

All Bids shall be publicly opened, read aloud and recorded at 2:00 PM local time on April 16, 2024in the City of Wauchula Administration Building, 126 South 7th Avenue, Wauchula, Florida 33873.

Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting: All interested Bidders must attend the entire meeting. Bidders not attending the Pre-Bid Meeting will have their Bids returned unopened. The Pre-Bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM local time on March 26, 2024 in the City of Wauchula Administration Building, 126 South 7th Avenue, Wauchula, Florida 33873.
