The City of Wauchula is happy to announce that after hundreds of votes were tallied, the name for the building
located at 303 W. Main Street has been chosen. On Monday, November 9th, the City Commission approved the
building to be named Main Street Station.
Built in 1930, this building has served several purposes including as a Greyhound bus station and the
Wauchula Police Department. Currently, the building is occupied by the following non-profit organizations:
Send Me Missions, Drug Free Hardee, and the Hardee County Coalition for the Homeless.
We would like to thank each and every person who participated in the survey that has
given this historic building the name it will be known as for generations to come!
